Has the new year brought you more than just time to use today?

Almost everywhere in the world, the arrival of the New Year is welcomed with great pomp, and even celebrated in religion and society with sacred rituals, carols, gifts and lots of fun. But I ask myself, as a man with a certain amount of common sense, and I think I would like to learn more about common sense so that I can then practice at least some of the things I have learned: has the year that ended not long ago brought me anything? You will have had some achievements, you will say. That depends. But what has the year itself contributed to the achievements that, thanks to the power and gifts that come from God, have knocked at my door? Come to think of it, the previous year and the ones that have gone before haven't even brought me time, I would say. I don't intend to complain by saying that. As we know, time can and does exist anyway. Regardless of the calendar. Just as the clock measures the units of time, according to the measurements that have been given to it, so does

How can we use the TV effectively without it stealing our time?

The TV - although it seems old-fashioned lately, this tool is used to the maximum by the current system not only to inform and relax sometimes - which can prove to be a beneficial thing - but it is also used to manipulate a certain part of the masses either through scenarios and broadcasts with a predominantly negative tone, intended somehow to induce panic, certain types of fear among the population, as well as through advertising that is driven by consumer money, a share of which also goes to television, a massive and dangerous advertising, often even downright ridiculous through greed and unbridled desire for gain not infrequently dishonest and annoying by definition, for some time even recognized by certain psychologists as a potential danger for honest and normal people who go to work every day to earn their bread honestly, when they return home in the evening or late afternoon, exhausted, the only place where I can find even a shred of peace is, guess which? Sit for a while enjoying dinner or at least a cup of tea in front of the TV.

I turn on the TV, and what do I see? Negative news on top of negative news, programs without any meaning sometimes, maybe even music that he doesn't like or makes him sick, the annoying advertising that urges him to buy goods sometimes without any benefit, on top of that, the arguments and nagging of his wife.

After all the accumulated fatigue!

Something makes him think that he lives for nothing. Should it be so?

There's something we weren't even told about in school!

But if it were said starting with first grade students and up to the highest level, life would look a bit different!

Namely, this message must be said out loud, supported in most social groups and in all mass media: TELEVISION CAN AND SHOULD BE USED OTHERWISE!

I am sure that you will agree with me that most of the programs that are shown on television have neither the quality, they are not healthy food for the mind and spirit, nor do they represent something useful that is worth watching.

On the contrary, most of the programs and films shown on TV represent nothing but the level of moral and spiritual degradation that most of humanity has reached today.

Is it worth wasting our precious time staring at such immorality, violence, sarcasm, uselessness by its very essence and unprecedented moral degradation? I say with all conviction that no!

I do not say this to defend the teachings or to support the status of one or another of the religions, I do not support any religion but the truth scientifically supported and verified over the decades until it reached me, and from my own experience with television I tell you that on what the shows on tv have done absolutely nothing to help me in the best possible way!

A truth is worth clarifying here and now: it is not the television that is bad, nor the fact of having a TV at home, but most of the programs that are shown on the television are really harmful for the mind and spirit!

The television is a simple device, like the washing machine, the refrigerator, the stove oven, etc.

It does not attack if we do not allow all baseless politics, commercial hypocrisy without the slightest sense of duty to the common man to be broadcast in our home, if we say no to immorality of any kind and turn off the television without a trace of reproach or regret when we see programs being broadcast that undermine peace of mind, inner calm and peace and quiet in the family. Not to mention spiritual and moral well-being, kindness and happiness. Values more or less forgotten, but always practical and beneficial for any person.

The TV can be used in other ways, and here's how: by no means as a trinket, it is not aesthetic for the educated mind and there is no point in keeping it in the house as a trinket, it is not good for the health of the mind and the spirit.

The TV is made so that we can watch something on it and not leave it unplugged all the time.

Otherwise it would have no use but to be scrapped.

I appreciate the fact that some plasma TVs have a USB port, where you can attach a memory stick with what we want to watch on TV instead of letting others tell us and feed us what they want us to do with our time. Which doesn't actually belong to them.

This is the healthy way to use TV, healthy for the mind, pleasing to the eyes and healthy for the spirit: to put on a USB memory stick healthy, spiritual, psychological, pleasant and useful programs, even about creation and nature, and watch them on these on TV, making the best use of our time!
